I have a 1985 block and head (22rec) Im using my intake an exhaust manifold off my 83 motor. I havent noticed any diff. really other than the fuel block off plate and puel pump crank pully. My question is will this motor work with the carburator from my 83 an if so is the weber car a good replacement. Lastly on the oil pump i noticed arrows on the gears. What are they used for ?

 

If the intake from your 83 fits then the carb from it will be fine. A lot of people like webers.

Those arrows do mean something...saw it in a thread a while back but I can't remember...I think it's only an issue if the gears have come out of the casing and you need to put them back in. But if the pump has stayed in one peice, I don't think it matters where the arrow are pointing. Hopefully somebody who knows for sure will speak up.
