No Spark, Need Help!!

No Spark, Need Help!!
Let me start by giving a little back story on this truck.
Chassis - 1990
Motor - 1980
Trans - 1988
Cab - 1993
In doing the cab swap I actually took out all the wiring and swapped the ignition system over to a GM style ignition. I am running a icm from a 1975 impala and a standard 12V coil. Before I moved away for over a year I had the truck running and driving. When I left I put the truck into storage. I got back a few months ago and have been trying to get it running and am stumped. I have tested everything according to spec. Changed the ICM, the coil, and the signal generator, or pickup coil in the distributor and set it to spec as well. I am getting power to the coil but not getting any spark from the coil to the distributor.
From what I know when the motor turns the distributor it sends a signal back to the coil and grounds it out to cause it to send a spark back to the distributor that then sends fire to each spark plug.
Can anyone help me or tell if I am doing something wrong that maybe knows this setup?
Sorry its so long.

My next suggestion might sound like tech support saying "reboot your computer" but I want you to try it. Test your battery the correct way. Easiest way is take it to an auto parts store and have them check it. They do more then simply checking the voltage. It might have a dead cell in it from sitting so long. Also a battery should carry 14.4 volts in it NOT 12v.
Try it and let us know if it works. you might be surprised.
