new and improved boot.

well after looking at my old boots i decided to try to improve it.i used a carbon fiber plate with with some junk yard boots i got on discount.

That's all I need to have an almost new interior for my 83 4x4, leather shift boots. I wish I could find some around here but I doubt it.

kragens sells a universal leather boot with an elastic band at the bottom that you slip between the rubber boot and the metal plate.. i have one and it looks great..

i have many junk yards in my area....and have no problem finding "some"parts.today i found all 4 side markers off a 86 camry.

i have the carpet awaiting in the garage..once installed the new boot will look its best.....lol

How did you attach the boots under the cover? Hope that makes sence.

they are riveted to the carbon piece i cut out..washers hold the rivets from coming threw the boot.

i bought them at the los angeles fair about 5 years ago...they dont have a name on them,but they do sell them on the net.
