starting issues
the terminals are clean and are new but the battery looks to small in my opinion but I dont know I talked to the guys at napa, checkers, and autozone and they say battery and thats what I think cuz when I tried to jump it with my wifes jeep if kinda wanted to crank but then quit and if I let it set it kinda would

the clicking is usually a dieing started solenoid. which means a new starter. borrow the starter off your other truck and see if it fixes the problem

Hook your jumper cables right up to the starter, Positive gator clamp to the positive lead bolt on the side of your starter and then just ground the negative on your frame, now hook it up to your wifes jeep and you will know soon enough what it is. If it cranks and fires up then its the postive leads from the battery, grounds from the battery, solinoid or battery itself. If you still get the same sluggish or no crank id say it was the starter itself

Yeah, could be the starter, but you're doing it right to check the battery first. I had that happen to me, sometimes it would just clicked, but one time I just held the key ON and it eventually started cranking. Since it worked once, I started trying it again the next time when it wouldn't start. I held it on a while and heard some weird sizzling noise and saw smoke coming from my battery. In the end it was just all the corrosion on my terminals, which I didn't think was that bad, but I guess it was bad enough.

SHE LIVES (again)
so I pulled the battery and put the battery out of my 83 into the 81 and she fired right up and did so the 3 times after. so I took the battery to auto zone and they tested it and it came out fine but just not enough amps to turn over
