My 1980 Pickup

Hello all!
I am new to yotatech but ive been lurking for a couple years on and off. I started out in toyotas not so good, a stock 90 4runner with the v6 and auto transmission , and got rid of it soon after. Fast forward two years and now Im in a 1980 toyota pickup. Im much happier this time around The truck is swapped with a 22re and 5 speed out of a 87 4runner, with flowmaster exhaust. The axles have 5.29's to handle the 35 TSL Thornbirds on weld racing wheels. The rear axle has a limited slip, the front has an ARB. The ac unit has been replaced with a air compressor that goes to the ARB, with a chuck in the front grill for tools. I have a hand throttle for when running the air. The interior has been swapped out for SR5 bucket seats and an inclometer was added. Heres some pictures that I have so far! Thanks, Kiefer

And this one was the morning after her first wheeling trip at Walker Valley ORV Park

When I bought it, the Thornbirds were already on it, I would never have chosen those! But thanks! I love this truck, and Im glad other people like it too.

Awsome truck! I like that the wheels are painted green to match the truck. Kinda a cool army truck deal. With the tire size and inclometer you should post up on the tire size and stability thread I started. Curious to see how many degrees you can get with that rig. BTW how do you like that hand throttle? Does it help out clutching up hills?

Thanks everyone! I don't really like the thornbirds anymore that you guys do, but right now there tires that roll and hold air. I've got some interior shots to load when I get home from work today, and I've also been busy stopping rust in the bed, so I have shots of that as well. I ended up grinding down the rust on half the bed as well as the bed rails and shooting them with black rust stop. I think it gives it a good look with black rail caps to compliment the black sliders and bumpers.

Camo31- That bumper is plenty stout I would say, Im not sure what would be much stouter then that without weighing a ton! and the Thornbirds will be gone faster then cupcakes around weight watchers as soon as I get some money together!

4x4yota- Thanks! I love the stance too, and as much as I do like the topper, I pulled it off for fear of shattering out the side windows wheeling (lots of tight trees!)

Jack- Not to sure where that qoute came from, but that makes NO sense

Birdbrain- You should, Im around woodinville a decent amount and always up in kingsgate. Walker is great, theres plenty of mild trails, as well as serious ones. Me and some friends are going up this weekend, If you are interested in going, shoot me a PM.
