Thats the correct stripping for the 79-80 Sport Trucks, unfortunatly its not available and I had these done at a local Sign shop. The 81-83 SR-5 stripping is available from James Dean Creations in 3 different color combos, maybe they would do custom colors if you want. The 79-80 was only offered in this Metallic Grey color shades. As far as what color to do your stripping it would depend on the color truck its going on, you want a color scheme that will compliment and contrast the truck . I went with blue/silver shades on my 81 and like the look....Name: lift001_zpsb074d0ca.jpg

I was planning on doing the incorrect decals , 1981- 1983 .

I did some more reading and for what I think is the same truck , tomato red , outside it looks different.

Now I gotta figure out what that color orange would be

It's the same Truck. It has been floating around for a while (I have stalked it). It has been on the Mecum block several times:
Indianapolis May 2010 - $8,500
Indianapolis May 2010 - $10,500 (resold)
Kansas City December 2011 - $8,250
Kissimmee January 2012 - $11,500

http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_de...=FL0112-119911

I would buy it in a heartbeat for what it has sold for at these auctions so I'm constantly checking Mecum's website to see if it is coming across the block again soon. It is a high quality restoration by Jack Safro who is not only a classic car collector and restorer, but a Toyota enthusiast. He also owns a few Toyota Dealerships. Personally, I would pay a good amount more for that truck - definitely the best of it's kind

Jack Safro's yellow Trekker was recently up for sale on ebay but didn't meet reserve, at that time someone mentioned that he recently passed away.....he was instrumental in the design of the Trekker.

It didn't sell because the person who bought it at Mecum paid $20K for it and they wanted to get their money back. Chances are they never will - it was a bad buy for a bidder who probably thought that they could flip it really easily. The '79 Pickup above is a much better restoration (and technically more rare) compared to that yellow Trekker. And in my opinion Corey's Trekker blows that yello Trekker out of the water.

You guys see this? I'm never going to stop looking for a complete , almost rust free http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=1310596558721979-1983 to buy now. I've been looking in 6 states around fl. Barley missed a white one in GA. It was a south Cali truck the owner had shipped when he moved to ga. That was 3500.00, but there wasn't any rust on body or bed, and most of the parts could of been wiped off , as new.

I'm not looking for one as nice as this obviously , but man if I could get a long bed looking like that with some ps, ac , my poor 2003 prerunner would need stabilizer in the gas , cause that dog would be sleeping most of the time
