I ran them on my '85 for a few years:

I found them nice on the pavement and on gravel and dirt roads at higher speeds. But for rock crawling, I found them a little too soft as slow speed. They tended to allow too much body sway when dropping off ledges/boulders. But if you mainly drive at higher speeds, they do well.
