Question Ideas for mounting 1st gen rock sliders

So my 83 long bed sr5 is in need of some sliders and I was looking at some ideas and at my truck today I know exactly how I want it designed but I am unsure on how to mount them to the frame without sacrificing much ground clearance. I have seen where people mount a plate in the side of the frame and weld out from there but on my truck if I went straight out from the frame I would hit the body any other ideas on mounting please? Pics or links would be great I have searched but cannot find anything.

im not sure if this helps you as far as the ground clearance. i have a 3rd gen pickup and had the same problem. so this is what i did.

Just angled it down.

just like that. But i always put a gusset on top of the tube to support the tube to plate connection. And theres no reseon to angle the connecting tube upwards. Might as well just run off the rock bar 90 degrees to the bottom of the plate, and have more room for the gusset.

i did it that way so it would be far enough away from that pinch weld. its only about 3/4 inches away. i forget the measurements, but if i remember right, i would have been too close for comfort if i had come straight off at 90deg. at the bottom of the frame.

i didnt want to be so close that it might start making noise against that pinch weld.
