Hey all I have an '82 2wd pickup. The interior of the truck was in fantastic shape when I got it several years ago, all except for the dash- and I'm talking where the stereo and a/c controls are-was cut to make room for a radio. I'm sure there has been many a dash cut for this same principal only for the poor guy to find what serious mods must be done to make a modern day cd player fit. Anyways, I want to fix it. I'm putting the truck back on the road the gaping hole isn't going to cut it. I'd pay a fair price for original- but no scrap yards within a hundred miles have had anything. I can't find any remakes online either. I've worked with fiber glass a good bit if I can't find a new dash then I suppose I'll just construct one of my design, that lip won't be fun but its doable.. Anyone else run into this prob?

that would be a cool conversion...but if not there is always some thin guage diamond plate..

 

I would go with the diamond plate idea as well. That is going to be my choice.
