How often do you see Trekkers?

http://sacramento.craigslist.org/car/628505967.html

This has probably been the 6th Trekker/Trailblazer I have seen for sale in the sacramento valley in the past two years. Seems like one is coming and going every couple of months.

I wish I could buy one. It'd be fun to build it up just right. *cough*b4runner*cough*

I saw a white one in traverse city michigan like ten years ago... DRIVING.
It threw me for a loop, was the first time i had heard of them.

I love those things, i have seen a few go around here (Minneapolis, MN) but none that ran.

Yup. There's some decent unmolested ones in the city too. Lots of soccer moms, and stuff selling good, all records kept, all maintenence done, 4X4's with mostly around 120K......lots of automatic 4runners, tho.

You're right, there does seem to be a lot of well taken car of yotas out there. Sometime this sumer, I want to pick up a first gen 2wd. I'm thinking it'll come from the bay.

Nope they've all rusted away to nothing. I only see 1st gen 4Runners and 2nd gen trucks like mine a few times a year around here. Very rare. When people see mine they can't believe it's a Toyota lol.

I've personally never seen a trekker, but there are a couple 1st gen pickups around the college, and my buddy's dad just bought a first gen that he wants to use as a plow truck.... I wanna buy it off them before they put a plow on it just to restore

Same here, my 85 is the oldest toyota I've seen in person. I have seen an 81 toyota with a second gen sonoma body on it.

Cars rust A LOT more in San Fran, then in Sacramento. That fog, and being close to the ocean is no good on cars. I lived on the coast for 10 years(not SF, it was north coast) and cars there rust pretty bad, esp. if you don't have a garage.
