in preparation for a retro sound stereo upgrade I was put tinkering on the truck today. Was hoping someone may have an easy answer for me as to how the hell to get the plastic bezel out.
is there some sort of keyed exit combination that the heater knobs need to be in, in order to pull the bezel out?
it looks like a previous owner had cracked the bezel in a few places which is a bummer, so in an effort not to make it worse I am trying to not strong arm this brittle plastic.
that said, I can’t seem to get this thing off of the 3 levers for the heat/AC controls and was not sure if I am missing anything or if anyone may have a tip or two for this?
much appreciated as always.

Seems to me, you have to remove the ends from the heater unit, then remove the whole bezel from the dash, to get it out totally.
thanks. I am not sure the quality of the photo that posted, but here’s a close up of the heater unit, hopefully the res of the photo is decent. (Attaching from my phone).
so these silver ends and or full levers come off? It seems as though the whole unit is still attached to the bezel but I can’t tell.
You have to take the cable ends off the heater unit under the dash. Then remove the whole heater/radio bezel from the dash. Then you can remove the mounting screw that holds the heater levers from the bezel
