I think I remember that valve covers are interchangeable between all 22R and REs. Stranger things have been known to happen, than to have someone put on a later model valve cover.

You're probably right, though.

Well this basket case is slightly less of a cobbled together mess.

Lets see where are we at? I lowered the floor 2-3in so that I could comfortable fit in the cab (6'4") 63 Chevys out back, RUF, welded rear, Impreza seats, IFS rear axle, IFS outers, Tacoma rotors, V6 calipers, IFS steering box, high steer, 39.5s, 17in wheels and your normal gusseted and armored front axle.

Took it for its first drive on Friday. Still need to finish the brakes, add shocks, mount the harnesses, build a bumper, redo the node where the a-pillar tube meets the slider (never planned to run 39.5s, but I got a good deal on them, the 37s I planned to run wouldnt have rubbed) and probably some other things I'm currently forgetting. The maiden voyage is planned for the 12th, I cant wait.

Wow. I get the feeling that making a better winch bumper for my truck wouldn't be a big deal for you.

Pretty awesome job. I like the lowering the floor idea. The more I see the exo going through the fender the more I like it

Probably not. Stay tuned, I'll be building my front bumper soon. I doubt it'll get done before Friday. But hopefully the weekend after or so.

Yeah I used to not be such a big fan of exos. I decided what I didnt like was when people put tube all over the outside of the body trying to protect it from damage but at the same time hiding the Toyota character. Obviously this cage is more designed for occupant safety than body safety. But I prefer the clean look.

Unfortunately how the a-pillar meets the slider is an issue with the big tires. I've spent some time staring at it and I still havent found a solution I really like. I think downsizing to 37s is the best idea, but my wallet says "not right now"
