headlight

Hello. I have a 1980 toyota long bed pickup. It has the SR20 motor, is two wheel drive
, and is an automatic. Anyhow, my passenger side headlight high beam works, but the low beam does not. Not thinking to check wires first, ( which i know nothing about) I bought a new headlight. I installed the new one, and nothing changed(except the old bulb, of course). So I'm thinking maybe a bad connection/ bad wire, etc. I don't know how to use any meters to check for bad connections, so any advice would be helpfull. Thanks.

I would start with jiggling the connector around with the lights on to see if you have a bad connection at the bulb......electrical gemlins are sometime simple and othertimes a real pain to figure out..

If the battery is secured well, I would suspect around the battery area. Otherwise it is just tracing out which wires that go to the low beam and looking for a break.
