I just got a new hedman header off ebay for my 22r, it came painted but not high temp. If I run it and it becomes bare will it rust out? Also do I just ace the tubes that cam off the head as well as the air pump thingymajig that they ran to? It shouldn't hurt it to run open header for a couple miles to the muffler shop should it?

Also got the lc egr removal, I looks like you just put the plates in and junk the whole unit but do I just cap all my vacuum lines or can I ace most of them as well? I just wanna clean up all the crap off this motor and don't have to worry about emisions, minimum is good

Truck is an 83 w/o power steering btw.

um I would think it would, mines pretty rusty, id either get it sand blasted and put some new paint on. if you wann get rid of all the vac lines get a weber . it will be fine to run ur truck to the shop but its gonna be LOUD lol

 

I'm gonna stick with the stock carb for now.............. a weber is somewhere down the line though!!
