Exhaust Diameter

getting my exhaust this weekend..(if my tranny gets fixed soon enough) and i was wondering if 2.25 was the size of exhaust tubing to go with...i got the 20R/L43 combo...im running just the old muffler through dual 3.5" stacks right behind the cab...i didnt know if i should stick with 2.25 or jump down to 2" for more backpressure...since the system is gonna be short..and only a muffler...thanks for the input!

backpressure bad, exhaust resonance tuning good. 2 1/4 should be fine, don't ever go for more backpressure though. Im running 2 1/2 and it spun my remote turbo fine so...but thats a 22r so 2 1/4 should be ok for your 20r. i think though, im used to tuning cars.

listen to this guy, whether he actually knows what he's talking about or not, I agree with him, 2 1/4 should be just fine.
