I really like the flat deck on your 1st gen!
If the box ever rots out of mine, I will definitely go for a similar deck

Im trying to fix my box for my truck because im tired of strapping things down and how it looks. The flat deck only cost me $100.

I get so tired of having to strap everything down, it gets old quick. The other day i had 2 bikes strapped down and one somehow fell off going down the road but only scrapped the paint up luckily.
I would kill for one of slackers figerglass boxes ... drooool

i wouldn't call that a restore job, there are way too many things that aren't factory. not that i wouln't enjoy that truck, after painting the frame black again.

and 'new rebuilt' is kinda an oxymoron isn't it?

could you make the front axle high pinion by using reverse cut gears and just flipping the 3rd member?

Al
