Has anyone found a source for a replacement early 22r head? All of the usual sellers that I dealt with 9 years ago have either retired or they don’t build them for the early 22r engine. If anyone has a line on one, please let me know. Thanks!

I’m not sure where you’re located but I got a “new” (refurbished) head for my early 22R from Yota1 in Modesto, CA just last year after the machine shop found some cracks in my old head.

That’s the only shop that I have seen them advertised on, but they are not available right now. My mechanic found one, so we are getting it checked today. I’m crossing my fingers it’s good. These heads are getting scarce!

Awesome man. They are. A lot of parts of getting scarce. Even local wrecking yards hardly ever have any first gens anymore for pulling used parts. I was surprised Yota1 had one available when I’d called them.
