Doetsch shocks fittment issue

Doetsch shocks fittment issue
I bought doetsch 3350 shocks for the front of my 1983 pickup and the eyelet bushing on the bottom is too big for the shock mount do I need aftermarket shock mounts or can I cut the bushing to fit?
