I am installing a new clutch in my sons 83 with a 22r. I want to make sure I install the throwout bearing facing the correct direction. One side is flat and the other side has a convex curved edge. Which way should it be faced? I have run several searches and have found nothing. A picture would be great if someone has one. Thanks in advance.

think tapered side inward. kinduv helps center it.

 

Thanks for the replies. I couldn't get the fsm to download. The PO had it with the tapered facing towards hub and the flat towards the clutch.
