What do you guys use to clean your interior? The interior of my '81 is all there and in pretty good shape, just really dirty from 30 years worth of dirt, grit, and who knows what. I used some Armorall on the dash and lower gauge pod and it worked pretty good, but it did nothing for cleaning up the door panels, armrests, etc. I thought about maybe trying some Simple Green, but figured I would ask if there's something else to use. Are there any other methods to cleaning other than a rag and some good old fashioned elbow grease?

 

Simple green.
Or gut it.

 

I use an "uhplostery" cleaner .. not quite a "green" as other products , but it works great ..

Good deal, thanks for the info guys. I've got a little Simple Green left in a bottle in the garage. If that doesn't cut it then I'll probably try and find some stronger stuff.

 

Eagle One leather and vinyl micro cleaner and protectant. It works very well!

How on earth are your door panels so perfect?! Mine are all crappy and destroyed. Any idea where I could get new ones?

or, drive to u-do-it-carwash, open door [if installed], spray, drive home.

 

haha yep. no doors and no top almost throughout the year. also no rear seats or carpet.

I just took out all the drain plugs around the body and went at it

 

vinegar i know i know the stink but it works amazeing and some dollar tree LA totaly awesome carpet cleaner best stuff beats out the name brand junk every time and that door is insanely clean

 

Thanks for all the info guys! I worked on the cleaning the door panels and headliner some more yesterday. I got some hot water and bleach and it really made a difference. I'll be back at it this weekend, so I'll probably pick up some vinyl cleaner as well. DP, mine is the same color, if I can get my door panels looking that good I'd be one happy camper!
