need some help here my 83 choke is not working at all the guy i got it from says he unplugged the wires for it and dont remember why or which ones it was wtf really?? so i have looked the referred back to the old trusty repair manual and cant find out what i need to hook it back up it would be nice to have the choke cause its getting a little cool right about now

 

every morning i have to pour gas into my carb,no choke or accelerator pump....i know the feeling.

I had the same problem. My choke wasn't hooked up when I bought my 81. TOUGH AS HECK trying to find someone to work on it. My carb also had to be rebuilt. the man who worked on mine is in Morton MS. I took him the truck and the carb kit. 173 dollars later and my carb works like it did when it was new. On a cold engine, I tap the accelerator twice and it fires right up.
