I just finished mountin my cbradio but have not decided yet where to put the antenna neither how to pass the coaxial cable to the back of the truck could, could someone give some advise on where could it be a good idea to mount the antenna and where could pass the cable so it won't show thanks pictures would be great

 

Easiest place to mount is the front bumper of course. Rear bumper works as well, so does using a stakehole mount, a mount you drill into the body, etc.

In my case I got a plastic mount and put it to my toolbox. I ran the cable from the CB inside, out the firewall (where the wires come in/out) and under the truck. I attached it to the fuel line using zip ties and ran it up to the bed where the toolbox is.

Personally mounting it as high as possible (within reason) is best for reception.

 

Another option is to mount is on a bracket attached to the inside of the front fender that comes out under the hood...
if you have the camper style mirrors you could go for a big rig style twin mirror mount set up...

 

thanks wasn't thinking to pass the cable through tha pickup cables dumb of me ja I was going to dril a hole next to the ones that grap the seat on the botom I'll probably jus't going buy longer cable to pass it through tha cables where you said next to the gass line thanks

Like I said, multitude of mounting options. Personally I like it on the back bumper, in hindsight I should have mounted mine there.

 

Ideally you want to mount the antenna in a location where it will be blocked by as little of the body/cab as posible. If you have a roll bar I'd mount it there being high up it will give you the best range.

 

Everything turn out good finished installing the antena and cables and the cb mounted.... well there's jus one little thing that I bet you have already cover....I get good signal the antenna works fine but when I turn the car it makes interfere what can I adapt o put to so this won't happen is there like a filter or something?

 

Sometimes you can eliminate the noise by hooking it up directly to the battery, and not going through the fuse block. Just a thought, I'm not sure how you have it wired?

 

what kind of antennae do you have? Do you have a tool box in the back? If you can mount it high center, it would be best. I have a 102" whip mounted on my truck box with ground wires running to the frame. I ran the coax under the truck box and in a grommet between the bed and cab under the carpet to the cb radio. works great, no interference, looks good.
