My heater hose is connected on the drivers side in the usual stub off the lower radiator hose.
My other hose connects in the intake manifold ( see red square in pic ) I noticed today a small rubber hose coming off the pipe from the timing cover to a 90 degree nipple under my intake ( yellow square in pic ) That small section of rubber hose is sketchy & needs replaced, can I just block it off & plug the nipple under the intake or will I lose coolant flow to my heater core ( after market school bus heater set up not stock toyota, not that it matters ) My heater hose is connected in the intake ( red square ) the line I'm wanting to plug off is the lower tube/line coming off the timing cover ( yellow square ). I understand the bottom line flows coolant to heat the intake for cold weather ( borrowed pic, not my engine )
