A/C compressor mount

Hey Guys adding factory A/C to my truck. I'm working on mounting the compressor to the motor, but I can't seem to figure out exactly where the bracket, compressor, and motor fit together. I understand the compressor goes above the air pump but I'm stuck after that. Looking for a few pics of an installed compressor. Hopefully a picture will be worth a 1000 words. I have all the factory brackets shown in the diagram (bottom image) Cali spec. thanks

There should be bolt holes on the block for the main bracket. Bolt the main bracket on first, bolt the compressor on main bracket second, bolt the adjustment / brace brackets on third and bolt the triangle shaped support bracket on fourth. Install your new belt. Also make sure you have the correct crankshaft pulley otherwise your belts will not line up. Also download the 1983 FSM located on this site because it includes information on your A/C system.

I have everything pictured in top diagram (federal) on my truck. Giant bracket 88431 bolts to block which top two ears of compressor bolts to. Your pictured ac compressor is missing back ear? Bad pic angle? AIR pump style? Is that smaller bracket 88431 (lower diagram) in picture? Do you think you have to marry both brackets for AIR pump? Mine uses idler pulley for adjust. Looks like you'll use AIR pump to adjust belt. 88432. Yeah, I know clear as mud.

I guess the bracket needs to bolt-on to these existing bolts?

help

I've been struggling with this A/C compressor bracket(s) for about two weeks. The FSM doesn't show where (how) the bracket(s) mount to the motor. Again I'm using the RN34L, 38L series (for calif) equipment. Can someone please post a pick or two of their A/C compressor, I 'd really appreciate it. thanks tony
