Body lift shifter problem

Hello all. My neighbor bought a 83 Yota 4x4 and put a 3" body lift on it. Now neither one of the shifters will shift. (standard) He asked me what he might do to fix the problem and I told him I would find a Toyota forum and ask there for him. (he's not into computers) Thanks for any help you guys may have.

feels like the shifter is probably hitting the floor. It shifted fine before the lift.

One more quick question save me a lot of searching. Is there somewhere to get complete wiring and vacuum diagrams?

Chiltons would have it... There were some FSMs (Factory Service Manuals) floating around the internet, however they were all for 84+ trucks.... If you, or your friend dont mind forking over the money for one, its money well spent and a good investment if you plan on keepin the rig. I got mine from EBay IIRC, and you can get them from other places as well...
