63's & RUF almost done

Front leafs are sitting on frame, shackles are being built tonight/tomorrow
So front will come up a bit (5 leafs)
Rears will get a Chevy bottom overload to compensate the front height.. (3leaf + OL)
overall looks like about a 2.5-3in lift..

Clean truck
I like that tripod style jackstand next to your truck
Would be great for bumpers/slider work

cool thanks, funny story... My buddy that is helpin with the fab work on mine said he found some springs and threw them under the front one day... they are a few inches longer than the toyota rears I was going to go with... When I asked why, he said he thought i was going to put 63s in the front... lol I explained that the 63s were going out back and the rears up front... But seeing how its all mocked up I actually wouldnt mind runnin the longer springs, just haven't started on the rear shakle mount yet lol

I would think you would have to build them up quite a bit to make up for the weight of motor..?
Where would the axle be located with 63's up front?

He dug up some other springs and put under there... they are off of a ford or something he was trying to save me from buying 63s as he thought that was what I was going to run up front... the ford springs are just over 50" i think not positive... they are pretty stiff

Copy..
For what it's worth..
I am very happy with this set up & finally understand what all the talk is about..
Tomorrow we hope to get the truck on the ramp to take measurements for shocks..
Torn right now between the 5150's & Fox Evulsion's
Like the resi's on Bilstein's but being able to rebuild the Fox's is appealing..
Still need to extend rear brake line..
Next up is Hi-Steer & install PS
I will be selling these tires to another friend & most likely going the a 35..
Then 5.29's & leaning towards air lockers..

Updates!!

Have run into a few bumps along the way & my fabrication guy hurt his back a few weeks ago.. So things have been slow.. No worries though.. Back on track now!!

Before

Canopy Off For 1st time in a long time I bet!!

Shock Hoops are being built

For These

Taillights out, Junk in the back which was pulled out, & Mike cutting off factory bed bolts with torch.. (Last one ended up being a major PITA!!)

Hard to see.. but we slid bed off with 2x4's so Mike's back would hold up!

Flat bed just laid on.. Picked it up for $65

I even had time to sand a little on the passenger side door & fender to get ready for paint..
Going with a color called "Laguna Seca Blue" BMW color

Bad Pic.. But you get the idea

Can't wait to get this thing back together

Looks sick man! Great job. Looking like a true Yota out in the open like that... where was that, if you don't mind me asking? It's beautiful.
