2wd 4wd cab and frame compatibility??

i need to replace or build a frame for my 82 yota 4x4, i need a cab as well, my truck is highly modified and i was wondering if a 2wd cab and front structural unibody piece were the same, i can deal with standerd auto cab differences no prob, also are the frames the same?? i think a 2wd has a smaller frame from the front of the cab back?? i hav no 2wd trucks near to compare to , if not i will probably build a frame from 2x4 steel tubing, thanks

2wd and 4wd cabs and frame are different. I needed a bumper bracket a couple years ago for my 4wd and saw they are totally different. It surprised me that they were so different but I guess the factory knows best. The doors are the same but not the cab.

Yes they are basically the same. A 2wd cab will bolt right up to a 4wd frame and vice versa.

They are also structurally the same, core support, inner fenders and all.
