22R oil pump question

I am in the process of redoing my timing chain on my 81 22r, every thing is going pretty straight forward with the help of other posts and the search function. but for the life of me i cant find any info on the gears inside the oil pump. and where the arrows are suppose to line up to when re assembling

my question is, "where do the 2 arrows(facing away from crankshaft) on the oil pump gears line up with?"
I can post pictures if it would help.

they dont .

they are just a referance for the "top side" ...
so just install them top side up and pack them with primming grease (I use lithum white grease)

you do know about the top housing bolt ... right ?

top housing bolt??
top side meaning they face the engine block?.. because that's the only way the crank pulley will go on

it dosent matter ... as long as both "arrows " are on the same side ... (front or back)

as far as the bolt I mentioned ...
the top bolt on the oil pump .. is a "threw bolt" as seen in this pic

if the wrong bolt is installed .. it will contact the tensioner and interfere with it's performance ..

make sure you put the correct bolt back in this place ..

your welcome ..

dont forget to put some sealant on that bolt as well ... it has a tendancy to leak .
