ok so on the bottom of the intake manifold on my 22r there is a single black wire with a green plug thing on it, where does that plug into? mine is just hanging around there, my motor runs fine except for the fact that it knocks,

please help, pics would be really nice to

 

Show us some pictures of said wire hanging loose from the intake.

If it is knocking must be the knock sensor

 

i got that hanging off too, for me it doesnt go anywhere, i wouldnt mind finding out what its for

whats a knock sensor?, i am pretty sure my motor knocks becuase of a rod bearing

 

Yeah take a picture. I'm not sure but I may have a loose plug there too. May just be for an option your truck (and mine and gsb15's) doesn't have.

 

ok so, i am doing a complete engine overhaul soon and need some help, the 22r in my truck is from a 84, my truck is a 82, i would like to put a 20r head on my engine, will this work?, also whats all interchangeable from the '82 22r and the '84 22r?, and what parts can i not put on my 84 22r that is from a 82 22r, i plan on doing a weber carb, cam and header and exhaust
