I have a 20R I am debating on what to do with it. I might just rebuild it and slap it back in, or my other option is to find a short block and just put that in. however I can't find any 20R shortblocks out there (with the exception of LC and that is out of the question)

anyone know of any (cheap) places to get a 20R shortblock?

you probably won't find one, unless you get a core and rebuild it. easier to find an '81-84 22R bottom end. use a 22R head gasket, and you can treat it like a 20R otherwise.

for the purposes of this, you can treat the 22R block and rotating assembly like a 20R. the bore and pistons are different but everything else bolts up to it.
