I know i need to buy some other parts to complete the setup but im not sure if im forgetting anything. So far im pretty sure i need:

I don't know about the manifold, but the distributer is interchangeable from 20r to 22r.

20R is stock ?

if so .. heres what I would do , and have in fact done ..

22r block , and 20r head . "hi-brid" engine .. actually common , do a search .

with this mod you dont have to worry about changing the top end .. all the stock stuff will fit of course , because the head is the same .. bottom end will all bolt up as the 20r .. so no mods needed there .

it's one of the best engine mods out there .. and can net 150 RWHP for some coinage ...

ultimatly .. an engine swap is best , cuz it all cost $$$

.

Oregon Engine Builders has a great reputation around the Portland Area, they are about 30 minutes from me. Warranty is supposed to be great.
If and when the time comes (if my wife lets me) I will strongly consider one of their rebuilds..

ocdropzone- Would you recommend the OER over www.enginesus.com. I am having a hard time deciding which one to go with.

I just had my 20R engine looked at by a toyota specialist and my engine is so fauked up right now i cant believe its still drives! The owner of the shop told me horror stories of rebuilt engines and made me think twice on buying a rebuilt long block. enginesus seems to have a great reputation on Ebay.

Ive decided to do the 22R swap myself to save money and LEARN. Its going to be rough road but i am confindent and ready for it.

I would rebuild the engine myself. I'm 17 years old and thats what I'm doing to mine. Its pretty easy. And with the help of some great members on this site I probably couldn't do it. Thanks yotatech!

How much does OER sell reman'd 20r and 22r's? I may look into them when the time comes. I don't know if I'll have the time to rebuild mine.
