2" Suspension lift vers Anti Torque Bar

I'm guessing my anti-torque bar on my front axle has to go to accommodate the OME 2" suspension lift kit that I'm installing-----right? Does this bar really serve a functional purpose? My Truck is a 1982 SR5 4X4 standard cab under complete restoration.

it stops axle wrap in 4WD , it also "tracks" the axle in DD use .
I kept mine on my trekker with no regrets , but most people cut it off

with push pull steering I would keep it if you go cross over ditch it.

I did the OME 2" lift on my 83, you can keep it attached but it make swapping the springs difficult on that side. I removed mine but left the brackets just I case I decide to put it back. I haven't had any issues with wrap, but I mostly DD it, but I expect to add shackles in the near future also.
