Hi, Im new here & also to my truck its a 84 pu 2wd auto built sept 83 with low miles its hard starting when cold & uses too much fuel I think, thinking of weber 32/36 kit but not sure if the install is simple enough with the auto trans anybody done one pictures would help

 

Is there a kick down cable or rod or something to make the trans downshift when you have to put your foot in it? If not, it should be pretty much the same install as any manual pickup.

It might take a bit of welding or fabrication of some sort to hook the cable to the throttle linkage, but I'm not sure what, exactly. Can you post a picture of the kickdown cable and stock throttle linkage?
