I bought a set of American Racing steel wheels a few years ago. Don't know if they can still be had. I found this:

American Racing white wagon wheel

4WD wheel for 1st gen are 6 x 5.5" bolt pattern. If you want stock- 15"
There are 16" alternatives.

Width for 30-33" tires should be 8to10 inches. Check tires you want for rim compatibility.
Want stock tires, you'll be lucky if you can find 7", and possibly won't find a 6.5" or less width.

If you want black, possibilities open up... more styles, more sizes.

Wagon Wheel steel wheels

Here's another supplier that looks live:

Wheel and tire combos dot com

By the way... I ended up buying the black version of that wagon wheel pattern, but the white was available (it was 2WD-5 bolt 4.5 pattern). Looks like you CAN get the 6-5.5" white version, AND for less than I paid (under 50$ each-cool). You're in luck!

Here's more models in black steel wheels:

4x4groupbuy.com-black rock wheels
They have "blade", "dune", "lobo", and "series 997" styles, with one that fits in each pattern (6-5.5" bolt pattern). If you just click on one of those wheels, and then wait for page to load, there will be sizes listed on the left-easier to find the style/size. I see "made in USA" on the Lobo wheel pages. Cool.

I've been looking into new wheels and tires. The 31 x 10.5 tires on the truck are fine for deep mud, and the wheels look good, but I want a narrower, tall tire with load range D or E. It won't be quite as good for deep mud, but it will cut through snow better, won't hydroplane so easily, and provide better treadlife if I choose right. Yokohama Geolander has a good reputation for treadlife and grip, and there are 16" options with load range D. BF Goodrich also has the All-terrain radial A/T in some similar sizes, and they go up to load range E! That would be a tough tire.

The Black Rock wheels can be had for less than $80 in 16" sizes. Maybe after Christmas I can do this. The problem is that I found a couple of 22R engine blocks (one very good), and I want to start a complete rebuild. I need more money already! I should probably get started on the engine first. That won't cost as much, at least at at first
