Ha! Well...it depends. Mine was pretty straightforward. Took me about 2 hours to do, if you don't include pulling it multiple times to get the tach to work, and swapping in my original clusters odometer so the mileage would be more accurate. All that included...4 or 5 days
Then there was the guy (can't remember who it was right off the top of my head) that followed my write-up on it that's in the archives right now. He had some issues, but we got it all worked out in the end.
Essentially, all there is to it is to follow the schematic I've got posted. You pull your old cluster, and pull each wire from it's non-sr5 location in the plug, and put it in the sr5 location in the plug. Run a tach wire from the coil. Simple as that...
The issue the guy ran into was that he paid attention to wire color...which doesn't seem to be a good idea. Some colors are different. I think that I just followed the numbers and it worked fine for me. The cool thing is that no matter how much trouble it gives you, it's not like pulling the engine, or even starter or something. It's just the screws to get the cluster out, pull out the three plugs, take out speedo cable. Your hands get dusty instead of oily and cut up.
If you do it let me know. Read through my thread and ask questions. The wire colors just don't seem to be standard from truck to truck, but the location is.

Oh and by the way, nice work on the truck! I almost missed that. When did you get it up & running? Everything work out ok? How's it driving? It was about a month after first firing up my rebuilt engine that I put the sr5 cluster in.
