1981 Mini Truckin Build up

New to forum starting a new build got an 81 p/u already fixed the frame and pulled motor tranny and t case out motor had 60 psi in all cylinders already put the 4.70 gears in tcase in the process of tearing the motor down. Already ordered loc rite for the front and 5.29 gears gonna build it in stages
Stage 1
Drivetrain
clean up engine bay
4 link the rear

Stage 2
Body work
exo cage

Stage 3
interior
and misc items

Ill try and get some pics up tomorrow evening on stuff ive already have done maybe a slow build here and there well see

yea im around Farmington not to far from Wa˟˟˟˟a offroad park............also I noticed theres a build up page for this I guess I didn't pay attention if a mod could move it for me id be grateful or ill just delete it and start another

Got the motor tore down had one broken ring and 2 collapsed oil rings bearings were wore good head looked good and so did the cylinders so lucked out also got some parts media blasted

Yea its got a yellow base with john Deere green LOL tractor paint special I got candy apple green for cab and motor exo cage is gonna be silver metallic as of now may change

Just PM a Moderator and they will move it for you. They would rather you do that then start a new thread.

I rebuilt a motor just like yours only it came out of an 83 Celica. I am not sure if the earlier 22rs came with dome top pistons or not. Do you know for sure?

I know the earlier models had the raised ring because the block is a hair taller I wanna say 81 to 83 or 84 then they had the flat top
