I highly recommend that you do some sanding and prep work before paint, even just rattle canning

my 82 is that same flat tan with black accents. (sorry no pics) the green will look good, and hide any minor defects in the tin. going back to OE color tan whenever i get the time to sand, hammer, bondo, bondo, bondo, , prime, and then spray.

From: Bryan Tx,
I sprayed it through a paint gun. I got the paint from a buddy who paints oil rigs (free), it is a 2 part polyurerathane industrial type of paint. Very tough. I can't remember the brand of paint but it has a very plain, mostly white lable. I will check on the brand when I get home and report back.

Sorry it took me so long to get back with you about the paint. I snapped a pic of the can. It is Third Coast Industrial Coatings olive green.

I only used about half of the gallon on mine, but it would be nice to have some left overs, I crashed mine up in the rear quarter and had to replace somesheet metal. I'll re-paint it this spring.
