so i read most of these threads and none answered my question. maybe i missed it, but anywhooo, i have a 1978 pickup 4-spd and i want to know what swap i can do with th motor and tranny that wouldnt be to much of a hassle, oor just a motor swap. i have a 1997 corolla automatic, i seriously wouldnt mind putting that motor in the truck, bt hey, i dont know how much work, time, and moneys the best, hence my being here. Much thanks to those who read and help me.

 

That'd be a loooong project man. 20rs are possibly the most reliable engine toyota made. Low hp sure but also a million mile engine.

 

To some any swap is all most impossible.

To some dropping a Cummins 4 cylinder is a two weekend project taking it easy.

Your only limited by the budget and your skills.Time for the project.

If you can merge wire harnesses and fabricate most anything can be done.
