I like this idea. Is the blank removable? IMO it should be. $40 is alot to spend on a "keychain" that you can't change out keys in the event you have to sell or wreck your ride. I would consider selling both the handle and the blanks. And shipping it out with the blanks.

If you have these in "production" let me know. I can sell them on www.spoiledbiker.com

Hmm. Instead of making it removable, what if we use a policy like, if you change cars, you can send yours in and we will replace it with a new blank free. You just pay shipping? Or something along those lines. But then again, we could always include instructions for a "do it yourself" type also. Alot of new things to think about.

Were going to be working on everything next weekend to finalize it. So we could have them done, and ready to ship by mid February. They'd be $30.00, which in itself is a great deal for a key/transponder.

I'm interested keep me in the loop pls...

Just had another idea... can you fit a house key blank in the thing? IE schlage/meister blank? can the body be adapted to carry two blanks side by side ie house/car?

If you start producing these things I may know a few locksmith/motorcycle stores around here that might want to offer them...

speaking of that you should approach harley davidson/yamaha/occ and so on once you have the patent process started...

as others have suggested patent the design/idea or some one will steal it out from under you...

Yes we can fit a housekey blank. The side by side won't work because of the size of the handle. We may be able to work a different type out later on that can, but for now it fits only one. House key's are only $25.00 though!

House key blanks can begin shipping this weekend. Car keys however we need till the end of the month to make sure all the "kinks" are worked out. If anyone is interested PM the desired amount, so we can make a tally. I'll be sure to stay in touch.

Were working on the patent papers now. Its our first time doing this kinda thing

And if anyone is interested in carrying these products. PM and hopefully we can work something out!

Thanks guys!

IDK I bet once the word gets out there will be a bunch of latch key kids looking for something swish like one of these key knifes...

just had a thought these things are gonna freak out the inspectors in the airports when you go to get on a plane... "It's a knife!" ... "Nah, chill out man it's just a cool key."

Allright guys. For all who said you wanted a key-knife now is the time! Please either reply or PM me the type of car, motorcycle, or if you need a housekey version. We have to custom do each type of vehicle, so we need to know in advance which types to make!
Lets try to get at least a dozen made and sold by the end of February

I'd buy this in a second. I always have a knife clipped in my pocket anyways.
