Knife Key

Hey guys. So my buddy and I were messing around with an idea we had. Were thinking about selling them. Wonder if anyone would be interested? Were located in Central Florida, and were thinking of charging $49.99 FREE SHIPPING. Feel free to give us any input, and PM me if your interested.

It looks pretty neat and it's definitely unique; I just don't understand the purpose?

Was this an invention created out of a personal need? What's the story behind it?

For a bike generally. Motorcycles don't have the ability to have huge key chains and large keys like cars do. This way it's much smaller, compact, and clips in your pocket. Thats the general idea behind it at least.

That's a good idea - I hadn't thought about using it for a bike.

Since you already have the pics hosted on Photobucket, if you just add [IMG][/IMG] tags around the URL of the photo that you posted in your initial post, it will allow the image to appear directly in the post.

You can also click on the icon of the mountain/moon (three icons over from the hyperlink icon) above the text box and then just paste the URL of the image in there.

It will make it look like this (minus the space between the tags and the URL):

Thats what we were thinking.
Andthanks!

We've decided to lower the price to $30.00 plus shipping. The key will ship in a regular envelope to us, and we will ship out the completed product. Getting the rates priced tomorrow. If your interested though, let us know so we can decide how many were going to make. Details will be posted soon, we just need a general idea.

Very cool idea... if you are planning to use it on bikes though I have a ?
Can the key rest at the half open position? This will allow the handle to hang down against the frame or dash, be more aerodynamic, and also provide more leverage if needed lol.

second idea why not just sell the thing with a blank key installed? the buyer could [potentially] take it to a local key cutter and have it cut themselves.

Thanks for the input guys!

We have changed a few things since we first were brainstorming. Thats a good idea, we can easily just install a blank key and ship it that way.

We also have the transmitters for cars in the hilt of the knife, so you can start and open your car without the alarm going off, since thats pretty important.

We also have different colors

It's just like any knife. Granted this is an auto, all you have to do if slowly close it, and it'll stay in any position you need. Thanks for the input!

If anyone has any questions, PM me about it. Consider it a fundraiser so i too, can have a badass 4runner

Think this is a great idea! Shipping the blank would be the way to go.

At first I thought this was about the new gerber key knife. But this is an awsome idea too. Stop some of the tank scratch.

Thanks for all the input! But if we started producing these, would anyone be interested in buying one? Cause we don't want to spend money, if there is no interest for them?

Keep the comments coming though! Thanks guys.
