7.5" IFS 4.10 Ring and Pinion/Diff

Hello Everyone,

I am looking to purchase a set of 4.10 gears for the front 7.5" diff for my project (1992 Toyota pickup V6). It can be the entire diff as well, depending on price or what is available. Please let me know and we can talk prices! I don't have the guts to pay the brand new price yet. I may be willing to trade as well for my setup, which is 4.56 ratio. Thanks!

Might be interested in a deal. I have the complete factory front diff from my 1988...4.10 obviously. Shipping the whole thing would probably not be worth it. I could remove ring and pinion...I'm not sure if 4 cylinder and v6 are compatible though.

Thanks for your interest! From what I understand, as long as your diff is the 7.5 inch as well, the ring and pinion should swap. Looking on marlin crawlers website, his ring and pinion for the 7.5 seems to include all engine models. Does anyone else have input on this?

coryc, you interested in trading or cash deal? I will try to dig up more on the diff differences.

They are all the same. Even a rear r&p from a 2wd truck will work. I have one too if you need one, can ship the whole thing or just the r&p.

Why are you stepping down to a 4.10?

Thanks Rattlewagon for the insight.

Ha, well I guess 4.10s aren't very popular? Lol. I was going to post it on my build thread when it arrived, but I bought an elocker with the 4.10 ratio for a screaming deal, at least to me. I have wanted 4.10s to lower the highway rpm. The interstate is 75, and now the speed limit to salt lake is 80. At those speeds the engine is around 3000 rpm, and I just feel it doesn't need to be there. The tallest tires I will ever go are 33s anyway, so I am not too worried about drivability.

That is my only reason, to help reduce wear on my daily driver and hopefully gain some mpgs. I don't rock crawl, but I am more into desert racing too.

Sounds like your got a good plan there. 4.10s are very common, usually because its the stock ratio for most and they want to go lower. In this case it works out because you can get them pretty easily.

Thanks rattlewagon, I hope it works to my intentions. Anyway, if either of you are willing to part with just the ring and pinion, let me know if you want to trade or sell to 89815 via PM. I can't imagine shipping being too expensive. Let's talk prices!

Thanks everyone for the help. I figure with 33s and 4.10 ratio, at 55mph the engine will be turning at 1950 rpm, which is perfect in my book.

When this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're going to see some serious 3100 rpms! lol sorry I just had to...
