I signed up to try and become a Marine, which means I need to get my project truck and everything related to it out of my dads shop before I ship to boot camp in May.
The truck started out as a 1980 P/U with a 20r in it. I decided to go throw in a 302 v8 and do a few other mods. I started this project in June with a 3 month timeline but money and knowledge have set me back just about 10 months. The truck does not run/drive but its pretty damn close to being there. Here is some info.
1980 toyota pick up (solid axle)
1978(?) Ford 302
NW offorad engine brackets
197? Ford c-4. Automatic 3 speed (fresh rebuild, 0 miles)
35x12.50x15 Tires
Chopped fenders/firewall
Welded front diff
Stock gears
Captain chairs out of a jeep
Light bar w/ 4 lights (not wired)
New larger radiator (inlet/outlet are on correct sides)
B&M shifter
Starting on a custom bed
Many other odds and ends I cant remember at the moment.
Egine/tranny specs:
1978(?) ford 302 out of a Torino I believe
Edlebrock 650cfm offroad 4 Barrel carb
Edlebrock 4 barrel preformer intake mani
14 in air cleaner (black powder coat)
Pulleys out of a 1980 Bronco (fan pulley is shorter)
Fresh seals/timing chain/new flywheel
Engine hasnt ran but the crank/pistons look goo and turning it by hand it has compression
197? ford c4 auto 3 speed. Freshly built for this build. I cant remember which one but the shop put a big/small bore torque converter in. I told them it was going into a crawler and they said it would help. I can't remember what the stall rate is.

THIS PROJECT IS NOT COMPLETE
I was planning on running the toyota T case which means I need an adapter. (AA has them)
Wire the ignition (planning on using push button start from 12voltguy)
Custom crossmember for the tranny/t case
Needs a gas tank. I was planning on running a larger tank between frame rails (out of a 1980 bronco. Still have the stock yota tank)
Finish exhaust. I have 2 inch of pipe after the exhaust mani's
Its mostly just tying off the odds and ends at this point. I have 99% of everything from this truck and stuff for future mods as well. You get EVERYTHING, including the steel I was going to use for the bed.
