1988 4Runner, Very Clean, Blown Engine!!!

Hi Guys,
My awesome 4Runner has given me all she can give. She needs a dedicated Toyota lover to give her the next chapter of life. She has 540,000 on the odometer, but please read on. My mechanic says I burned a piston or the rings on piston #4 gave out. I got home on 3 cylinders, pumping oil out the dipstick hole. This truck has never left me stranded. This is engine #2 , installed at 325,000mi (Jasper Reman.) and the head has been rebuilt within the last couple of years. Other than the engine, this 4Runner is a cream-puff. Paint and body are great, only a couple rust spots. Interior is complete and very clean. She has the SR5 trim with towing package. 4x4 works great. I never really off-roaded this truck, a gravel road occasionally. Never had the rear top off. I am the second owner of this truck and have babied it for the last 27 years. 490,000 miles in the drivers seat. I just don't have the space or cash to do a rebuild, and I've already bought a new-to-me DD. Even with the high miles, I've replaced everything that could need replacing at some point. Please ask any questions you may have.
Insurance Company totaled it after I hit a deer a couple years ago. I took the cash and repaired her to better than she was before. New hood and repainted the front end, complete with James Dean Decals.

Repairs/Upgrades during my ownership:

Marlin 5spd Transmission, very tight and smooth.
Very nice Outlaw rims and 31x10.5 x15 Cooper AT3 tires, 70% tread left.
Auto hubs changed to Warn Manual Hubs, work great.
New Front Brake Calipers
New Brake Booster
Brand new brake shoes- rear
Rebuilt Alternator
Updated A/C
Rebuilt starter
Wet Okole Front Seat Covers
Alpine Stereo w/ CD/Pandora, inline Power Amp, Sounds good!
Stainless Steel Exhaust, needs a new muffler...
Thule Roof Rack
New water pump
New Black Shifter Boot
Wheel Skins Steering Wheel Cover (worn)
Momo Leather Shift Knob (worn)
New Headlights.

Exterior trim is all present and in good shape
The dash pad is in good shape, minor cracks at the edge were glued before they got bad.
Original Carpet, not bad...
Headliner is good, just a couple nicks here and there.
Rear wiper and window work from console and key.
Interior fan works on 3 speeds.

More pics will follow. I have these on hand now.

Asking $2500, will consider all offers.

Worth More $$$

Just letting you guys know, I put this on Craigslist and the offers have been flowing in. One guy offered me $1,000 over asking price! I had no idea this non-running truck had such value... I should have done more research. At least it will be kept alive and running for years to come.

Well good for you, that looks to be a very clean truck. At that price it was a steal. Glad it found a good home, at that price it will be taken care of; and you got a nice cash infusion.

Yeah, I think for how clean it is, $2,500 would be an easy sale.

Sorry to hear about the engine. I know you can pick up these 22RE's rebuild in Southern CA for $1,200 and less
