That's right. I drive a 1979 (daily driver), and I am offering this engine (+ more) to the Toyota community first.
This engine it not hooked up to run. Needs vacuum pump (if you want to go that route: personally I WOULDN'T).
Was may daughter's car. Ran VERY well, and quiet for a diesel.
Wagon version- this has the hydraulic pump built into the head. I cannot find info on CFM's or GPM. The +more is whatever that is related to the hydraulic system will go with the engine if wanted. Automatic transmission for decorative purposes only. First vear vacuum-shift, wasn't at all impressive. Vacuum control valves for shifting now unobtainium. Besides, who needs an automatic?
Car is on concrete driveway, ready to pull. Have engine hoist and load leveler, ready to load into your truck.
The system on these cars (SLS) was used to level the load. And yes, on a weekend it would have been possible to find Mercedes owners at the garden center loading the back of their TD wagons with soil or gravel. These cars were designed to actually haul loads. This system was not a mere "load leveler" for the extra bag of groceries in the back!
So, it will be up to the imagination of the purchaser. Or it may be decided to block off the hydraulic pump.
So this car was a real sleeper from the factory. Not a horse monster- but you could drive down the road level and no one would have a clue that you are making off with a dozen iron fire hydrants!
For the curious- the engine ran as if it had a thorough overhaul- quiet for a NA diesel, strong, responsive, no smoke, no leaks. My daughter bought a newer car much to my dismay.

I am in NW Washington. It is possible to ship, but would of course prefer to deal locally (relative term). Contact me through the forum. A trade is possible, looking for a 1st gen, running not expected. Let's talk!

MY APOLOGIES - meant to mention PRICE $500 I have the engine hoist ready to go here!

Cheers!
