Where should I buy a 250 lb torque wrench?
I'm changing my timing belt in the next 2 weeks and wanting to know where most of y' all purchased a 250 lb torque wrench. I have a Craftsman, but it only goes up too 150 lbs..I want to get a good one, but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for one.
Thanks, Frank

I got a very nice used Snap-on off E-Bay. They come up pretty regularly, and it's much nicer than my old Sears. You also DON'T have to set it to zero.
Look for a TQFR250--it's the 'Classic' model and there are a lot out there.

that style that he is talking about doesn't have to be set back to zero. I just bought another one like that to finally replace the POS craftsman one i have. My matco dealer gets them from the company that makes them for snap on a about 2/3rds the price. I'll have to look at the companies name again, maybe someone else can benefit from the info.

finally remembered to look at the actual brand that i was using ... http://www.torqwrench.com/home.php the split beam ones are the ones that are the same as the snap-on and that don't have to be set to zero every time.
