new snap on tools.... HALF OFF
gotta thank my college for this one. I just ordered $7500 worth of new snap on tools and that was AFTER my discount of about 50% on all items. Perhaps I'll post some pics of my hot new box and shiny Snap-on stuffs.
Don't ask to borrow them.

$7500 and I bet the box will still look empty. Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for used stuff too. Alot of times people get carried away with buying new things then they buy a bunch of crap they don't really need, only to turn around and sell it for around 50% off. I've gotten alot of nice stuff just because people didn't use it.

well, if your workin in the feild, do what I did. Every time I had to borrow a tool, Id write it down, next time i borrowed it, check next to the tool, and once I check it again, I buy that tool. Keeps you from buying too much of what you dont need.

Yep, only buy what ya need.
Best investment is a set of wrenches from 6mm-24mm and SAE sizes, a set of 6pt sockets 5mm-24mm and SAE sizes, 12pt sockets from 7-19mm or so and SAE, set of hex keys, and impact grade stuff.
I have about 300 dollars worth of tools and besides specialty stuff I have alot of stuff.

When I went through the GM ASEP Program at a local college her in B'ham, AL. Snap-On gave us the same deal. It was a top box with all of the basic tools needed to start out. Wish I still had all of those tools, they got lost one by one over the years by letting "friends" borrow them.

I bought mine in little clips here and there. Most of my gear is stanley from of all places walmart. I abused the set I have at my job everyday so I figured why waste my cash on crapsmen and snapon, matco, and mac are too $$$$.
