Jig saw blades?

Jig saw blades?

I need to get some blades that will cut 11ga steel and maybe some 3/16", any suggestions for what I should look for or brand recomendations?

I would recomend using a metal cutting blade in a circular saw. Much easier and quicker... That 3/16" steel will eat blades. If you got to cut curves see if you can get your hands on a cutting torch.

I do need a torch....

I got some of the bosch metal blades and they cut nice straight lines in 1/8.

Any good quality blade works pretty well. The cheap or generic brands wear out almost instantly. Stay away from Harbor Freight for this type of thing. Get a contractor quality blade from the local building supply place. Bosch, Makita, Milwaulkee, etc.

Another cutting tool I use quite often is one of those air cut off tools. We call them wizzers for some reason. In Mass it's pronunced whizzah. In any event, they work great.

4.5" cutting wheel in my grinder very quickly dispatches mild steel

or if your dead set on the jigsaw do what maxpower hd said
