wheelin' with a driftboat

Just got back from Maine on a fishing trip. The take out had a rutted dirt road with a rock section. I run bone stock and very little in 4wd. I knew I wouldn't have a problem from lurking on the site. Very happy with the performance of the 'yota.

Loaded up and ready....

Rock section (much steeper in real life)

Looks like the Beach Pool at the East Outlet. Very nice. One of my favorite places to camp. Just downstream is another site in the trees my wife and I camp at. A walk down the hill and you can fish right by the little island. Good work on bringing the boat down that little road. I see most people put in above the bridge. Probably easier.

How was the fishing? I've still been pounding the Stripers down here around Portland.

Take Care,

TR

You are correct G3! Although we were taking out there, having dropped the boats in above. Water levels a little high, but still plenty of fish. More pics:

You guys look like you had a great time. Wish I was there! I'm moving at the end of the month to New Mexico and I already wish I spent more time at the EO. Definitely a place I will miss. I hope to give the driftboat a try sometime.

OH man, that had to be a great time. I got my first taste of fly fishing in the Missouri River near Craig, MT over Memorial Day weekend...

I am hooked!
