Webster Pass 10-8-06 = "closed"

Just a heads up... My brother and cousin went up to Webster pass yesterday. They got near the top but were stopped by a huge snow drift.

Heres a couple pics they took...

This is where they had to stop, you can barely see the sign at the summit...

Said he had to do the trail in reverse for 10~ minutes because there isn't anywhere to turn around...

It's a Glock 23.

Real nice trail, I was VERY disappointed that I had to go back after getting most of the way through the trail.

The road that goes up there is very skinny on some spots. There was one spot where the road must have been about a foot and a half wider than my Tacoma. A lot of the road was only about 3 ft wider than my truck. Off the edge is a drop measuring hundreds of feet. Couldn't tell exactly though because of the fog. It really sucked having to back down the road for like 10 minutes until there was finally a spot wide enough to safely turn around.

That trail can be a bit unerving in reverse

Nice pics though! I thought about running that one today, too.
