Washington "Fall Colors" Run 10/22

Yep, that is at the pit where the infamous "AirNissan" video was made. The pit was our last stop of the day and where we aired up.
I am sorting through the pictures now and should have them up in a gallery later today. I will post a link to them in this thread when I have them done.

While I am working on uploading the photos to the gallery, a few more photos are available in the past events section of the WATTORA Forum.

Hard to imagine a better day to be outdoors than Sat was. The weather can be hit or miss for our Fall Colors run each year, and last year we encountered rain, snow, sleet, hail, sun, fog (LOTS of fog...or was that low clouds?)...you get the idea.
THIS year, we nailed it. Sunny and warm! In Oct!
Here's the gang enjoying a spectacular view of Mt Rainier

Rob entertaining the troops

Here we have Jen's 'Runner stuck again, in what we now call "Jen's Spot".
This marks the second year in a row she got stuck here. She gamely made several runs at the hill, and even Rob tried to drive it up (Jen got further up the hill than Rob...way to go, Jen!)
Eventually, Rob called for a tow strap, and Jen's 'Runner was once again tugged to the top. Note to Jen...we KNOW you can get up this hill if your rig is working right! Keep trying

Here's Jen right before she got stuck...probably discussing stratagy to make it up that damned hill!

Playing around at the end of yet another logging road, here my '84 is doing stump time

Nice line up of 'Yotas

Just a beautiful day, with great company. Rat Boy jokes all day long on the CB. If anyone hasn't seen the Rat Boy video, you need to check it out. It was the theme for our run and kept everyone laughing their ass off...no doubt about it!

Photo credits to my wife Trudie. Excellent pics!

Photos are up in the gallery on the WATTORA site. Go to http://www.wattora.com/ and click on the "Past Events" link if the navigation bar on the left side. Then click on "2005", then on the "Fall Colors" link.

Looks like a blast. Wish I could have made it...but with those photos, if any one plans on going back there anytime this winter or possibly early spring, I'd be willing to make the drive.

Great photos guy's and girl's!
Wish I could have made it, darn post office!
Eway, there has in the past been a mid winter run and early spring run up to the same area.
Perhaps my rig will be ready for a spring run.

I too am sad about missing that run. I had so much fun last year, I really wanted to try and find a way to make it but with my work/sleep schedule, it just wasn't possible. Saturdays are horrible days for me without at least 2 weeks notice for work and even then I'm lucky to get it off since no one wants to cover my shift.
It looks like all had a blast and the pics are wonderful!

And we missed you too! It was fun to have you guys along last year.
But, to be fair, the date WAS posted on Aug 10th on the WATTORA forum and finalized Sept 12th here, so there was well over your required two weeks notice. Thump Crash on the back of the head if he didn't give you a heads up in time
